Hyundai Bayon Bookings Open Ahead Of Festive Season Launch

Hyundai Motor India has opened bookings for the Bayon, its upcoming 4.2m mid-size SUV, ahead of its planned launch during the festive season. Bookings are open through Hyundai’s website and authorised dealerships across India for an initial amount of ₹11,000.

The Bayon will be offered with an in-built generative AI voice assistant, which Hyundai says is intended to enable more natural interactions between the driver and vehicle. The SUV is based on the Global K Enhanced Platform, which the company says has been engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards based on its internal assessment.

Hyundai has positioned the Bayon around five areas — intelligence, safety, comfort, performance and styling. The company describes it as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle, with its technology package centred on the generative AI voice assistant and connected functions.

Hyundai Bayon Design And Dimensions

The Bayon measures 4.2m in length and features a wide SUV stance. Its exterior design includes a sculpted bonnet, a futuristic front fascia, H-Edge LED daytime running lights, geometric wheel arches, wrap-around door cladding and bridge-type roof rails. Hyundai says the interior has been designed to maximise legroom, headroom and shoulder room.

Hyundai Bayon Safety And Technology

Safety is one of the key areas highlighted for the Bayon. The SUV is based on Hyundai's Global K Enhanced Platform, which the company says has been engineered for 5-star Indian safety standards. Hyundai also highlights occupant protection, structural rigidity and safety engineering as part of the vehicle's development.

The generative AI voice assistant is the main technology feature highlighted in the release. Hyundai says it is intended to combine voice-based interaction with connected convenience and vehicle functions.

Hyundai Bayon Powertrain And Transmission Options

The Bayon will be powered by a Hyundai petrol powertrain and will be available with both a manual transmission and an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Hyundai has not disclosed detailed engine specifications or performance figures in the release.

Bookings for the Hyundai Bayon are now open at ₹11,000 through Hyundai's official website and authorised dealerships. The company says the SUV is coming during the festive season, while the delivery timeline will be communicated at the time of launch.
