HORIBA India Presents Advanced Automotive Testing Solutions at SIAT 2026

HORIBA India showcased its latest automotive testing technologies at the Symposium on International Automotive Technology 2026, which took place from January 28-30 at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The company unveiled several advanced solutions at the three-day event, which was attended by senior government officials including Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Heavy Industries Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. As a subsidiary of the Japan-based HORIBA Group, the company focused on demonstrating technologies for emissions testing, electric vehicle validation, and hydrogen applications.

A key highlight was the debut of an Electrolyzer Test Station, developed locally in collaboration with the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune. This platform is designed to validate the performance of electrolyzers for industrial use and large-scale mobility applications, supporting India's push toward green hydrogen production.

HORIBA India also displayed its MEXACube PEMS system, which helps manufacturers measure real driving emissions to meet upcoming Euro 7 and BS7 regulatory standards. Other technologies on show included the OBS-ONE-PN10 System for monitoring particulate emissions and the EVCM-ONE system for measuring electric vehicle charging energy under WLTP test cycles.

Speaking about the company's participation, Dr. Rajeev Gautam, President of HORIBA India, said the transition from BS6 to BS7 standards makes precise testing more critical than ever. He emphasized that the company's commitment to 'Make in India' extends beyond manufacturing to building local testing infrastructure and developing skilled capabilities. The company's Pune Technical Center includes facilities for testing various powertrain technologies, including a hydrogen test bed created through a partnership with Dumarey.

Guido Dumarey, Founder and CEO of Dumarey Group, highlighted how the collaboration that started in 2024 brings together HORIBA's testing expertise with Dumarey's engineering and manufacturing strengths to accelerate hydrogen technology development.

The company said it aims to support automotive manufacturers as the industry shifts toward alternative fuels and multi-energy powertrains, while helping them comply with stricter emission regulations. The symposium's theme, "Innovative Pathways for Safe and Sustainable Mobility," reflected ongoing discussions about India's automotive sector moving beyond current BS6 standards toward future requirements.
