The Honda 0 Series introduces ASIMO OS, Honda's original vehicle operating system, designed to enhance ultra-personal optimisation and automated driving technologies. This system aims to deliver a more tailored and intelligent driving experience.
Honda’s Level 3 automated driving technology, known as Honda SENSING Elite, will expand globally with the Honda 0 Series. The system promises to enable "eyes-off" driving in all situations, providing new possibilities for mobility.
To support its vision of advanced technology, Honda has partnered with Renesas Electronics to develop a high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) for the next-generation Honda 0 Series. This collaboration aims to integrate multiple ECUs into a centralised core ECU, enhancing vehicle system management efficiency.
Additionally, Honda is accelerating its initiatives in energy services. These include developing smart charging networks and utilising EV batteries for innovative, clean energy solutions. Notable projects include the IONNA charging network in North America and integrating AWS technologies for a personalised charging experience.
Honda's commitment to carbon neutrality is evident in its development of the Vehicle Grid Integration (VGI) system, aimed at optimising home charging services while reducing CO2 emissions.
The Honda 0 Saloon prototype, based on the concept introduced at CES 2024, is set to be the flagship model of the Honda 0 Series. It features a sporty design, a spacious interior, and a compact exterior. The production model is expected to debut first in North America in 2026.
Similarly, the Honda 0 SUV, a mid-size EV SUV, embraces Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” development approach. Equipped with advanced features such as high-precision attitude estimation and stabilisation control, the production model is expected to launch in North America in the first half of 2026, followed by other markets like Japan and Europe.
