Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Reports 45% Growth in December Sales
Two-wheeler manufacturer sells over 4.46 lakh units, driven by strong domestic and export demand
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has reported total sales of 4,46,048 units in December 2025, marking a significant 45% year-on-year growth compared to the same period in 2024. The Gurugram-based company attributed the performance to strong customer demand and its continued focus on accessible mobility solutions.
Of the total sales figure, domestic markets accounted for 3,92,306 units while exports contributed 53,742 units. The growth reflects increased demand across both segments for HMSI's product range.
For the year-to-date period from April to December 2025 (FY26), HMSI recorded cumulative sales of 46,78,814 units, representing a 3% year-on-year increase. Domestic sales during this period stood at 42,04,420 units, with exports reaching 4,74,394 units.
Beyond sales performance, HMSI maintained its emphasis on road safety initiatives during December. The company conducted nationwide awareness campaigns across 13 cities including New Delhi, Jaipur, Solapur, Meerut, Bhopal, Ranchi, Rajkot, Goa, Calicut, Rajahmundry, Ludhiana, Samastipur, and Hassan. These programs focused on promoting responsible riding practices and community engagement.
The manufacturer also organized a Road Safety Convention in Raipur, working with educators to incorporate safe riding habits into youth education programs.
On the network expansion front, HMSI opened new authorized dealerships in Auraiya, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Jhargram during the month. The company stated that these outlets are staffed with specially trained sales and service personnel to provide customer support.
HMSI indicated that its strategic priorities remain centered on customer empowerment, safety enhancement, and sustainable mobility solutions as it progresses through the fiscal year.
