Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launches 2025 SP160 starting at Rs 1.21 lakh

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the updated 2025 SP160, compliant with OBD2B standards. Designed for contemporary riders, the SP160 combines a fresh design, advanced features, and improved performance to enhance the overall riding experience. The starting price for the 2025 SP160 is Rs. 1,21,951 (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

The launch was marked by remarks from Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of HMSI. He noted that the SP160 has gained popularity within a year of its introduction. He highlighted the inclusion of an OBD2B-compliant engine and advanced features such as a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity through the Honda RoadSync app, aiming to improve the riding experience further.  

Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, stated that the SP160 targets young and ambitious riding enthusiasts who value bold design and practicality. He expressed confidence that the updated SP160 would appeal to tech-savvy customers seeking style and functionality, while also setting new benchmarks in the 160cc premium commuter segment.  

The 2025 SP160 includes several hi-tech features, combining sportiness with practicality. It features an LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank with sporty shrouds, an aerodynamic undercowl, a bold muffler with a chrome cover, and an LED taillamp. Customers can choose between two variants: Single Disc and Double Disc. The motorcycle is available in four color options: Radiant Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, and Athletic Blue Metallic.  

A new 4.2-inch TFT display enhances the riding experience, offering Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility with the Honda RoadSync app. This allows riders to access features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, music playback, and essential vehicle information. The SP160 also includes a USB Type-C charging port for added convenience.  

The motorcycle is powered by a 162.71cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that complies with OBD2B standards, in line with upcoming government regulations. The engine produces 9.7 kW of power at 7,500 RPM and a peak torque of 14.8 Nm at 5,250 RPM, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.  

The 2025 SP160 is now available at HMSI dealerships across India. The Single Disc variant is priced at Rs. 1,21,951, while the Double Disc variant costs Rs. 1,27,956 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
