Honda India Foundation Receives Fifth Consecutive Bhamashah Award for Education Sector Contribution
Honda India Foundation was awarded the Bhamashah Award for its contribution in Education sector in Rajasthan for the fifth consecutive year.
Honda India Foundation received the Bhamashah Award for the fifth consecutive year in recognition of its educational initiatives in Rajasthan. The award ceremony took place on June 28, 2025, at Maheshwari Public School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur, during the 29th Bhamashah Samman organized by the state education department.
The felicitation ceremony was conducted in the presence of Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, alongside other officials from the Education department of Rajasthan. Honda representatives Rajeev Taneja, Operating Officer - Honda India Foundation, and Piyush Mittal, Vice President - CA, Honda Cars India Ltd., attended the ceremony.
The education department recognized Honda India Foundation for its active engagement in various educational initiatives aimed at empowering students and creating opportunities for youth in rural areas of Rajasthan. The foundation's efforts have focused on increasing enrollment rates at schools, decreasing dropout rates, and improving academic and extracurricular performance among students.
During the financial year 2024-25, Honda India Foundation implemented several key projects to promote education in Rajasthan. The foundation invested in infrastructure development by setting up digital laboratories for the youth of Rajasthan and provided educational materials and learning aids to create a more encouraging learning environment.
The foundation organized training programs for teachers, equipping them with innovative teaching methods and strategies to enhance classroom instruction. Additionally, Honda initiated various extracurricular programs, including sports, music, arts, and cultural events, to foster holistic development among students.
A significant focus was placed on remedial education programs designed to reduce dropout rates and improve academic performance among students from disadvantaged communities. These initiatives form part of Honda's broader commitment to educational development in the state.
