Honda Elevate Facelift Exterior Changes
The facelift retains the Elevate's overall design but gets revised lighting and detailing. The front now features a segmented LED DRL strip positioned above the grille, connecting the existing LED headlamps. The grille gets a new mesh pattern and gloss-black finish, while the fog-lamp housings are now body-coloured. The Honda logo has also been moved from the grille to the leading edge of the bonnet.
At the rear, an LED light bar now connects the tail-lamps, while the alloy wheel design remains unchanged. The body cladding gets a gloss-black finish instead of the matte treatment on the outgoing model.
A new Nordic Forest Pearl exterior colour has also been added, available in both monotone and dual-tone configurations.
Interior and Features
The more significant changes are inside, particularly in terms of equipment. The Elevate facelift gets ventilation for the rear seats, which Honda describes as a segment-first feature. Both front seats are now powered and ventilated as well. Other additions include a 360-degree camera, capacitive-touch rear LED reading lamps and front parking sensors. CVT variants exclusively get an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Honda has also revised the dashboard, replacing the outgoing faux-wood trim with white leatherette padding and stitching. Ambient lighting, previously available as a dealer-level fitment, is now offered from the factory on higher variants.
The safety package gains rear disc brakes and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow as part of the Honda Sensing ADAS suite.
Existing features including the 10.25-inch infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, single-pane sunroof, lane-watch camera, wireless charger, smartphone connectivity and six airbags continue.
Honda Claims Improved Sound Insulation
Honda says it has addressed one of the key criticisms of the outgoing Elevate by adding more sound-deadening material.
The company claims this improves the SUV's cabin insulation and overall NVH levels. The extent of the improvement, however, will need to be assessed in a road test.
Same 1.5-litre Petrol Engine
The Elevate facelift remains mechanically unchanged. It continues with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121hp and 145Nm. The engine is available with a 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox. Honda claims fuel efficiency of 15.31kpl for the manual and 16.61kpl for the CVT.
The Elevate continues to miss out on the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain available with the City.
Honda Elevate Facelift Rivals
The facelift continues to compete in India's midsize SUV segment against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Maruti Grand Vitara, among others.
