Honda Cars India Ltd. recorded total sales of 5,985 units in May 2025, comprising 3,950 units in domestic sales and 2,035 units in exports. The premium car manufacturer maintained strategic inventory management amid current market conditions.

The May 2025 figures represent a decline from the previous year's performance when the company achieved 4,822 units in domestic sales and 6,521 units in exports during May 2024.

Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, "In view of the prevailing market conditions and subdued consumer sentiment, we continued to strategically moderate our dispatches in May to maintain optimal inventory levels across our network, while remaining optimistic about improved retail performance in the coming months supported by forecasts of a better monsoon."

The company's approach reflects a calculated response to current market dynamics, with management focusing on inventory optimization rather than volume maximization. Honda Cars India has positioned itself to respond to anticipated improvements in consumer demand, particularly with favorable monsoon forecasts expected to boost rural purchasing power.

Honda Cars India Ltd., established in December 1995, operates as a leading manufacturer of premium cars in India. The company maintains its corporate office in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, while its manufacturing facility is located in Tapukara, Alwar district, Rajasthan.

The company's product portfolio emphasizes advanced design and technology, combined with established qualities of durability, reliability, safety, and fuel efficiency. Honda maintains a comprehensive sales and distribution network across India and offers pre-owned car services through Honda Auto Terrace, providing certified pre-owned vehicles to meet diverse customer requirements.
