Honda Cars India Posts 40% Domestic Wholesale Growth, 27% Decrease in Exports for August
Strong domestic deliveries offset 27% export decline, driven by early festive momentum.
Honda Cars India reported a 10.8% year-on-year increase in total wholesales for the month of August 2026, with 7,508 units sold across the month compared to 6,774 units the same month in the previous year.
Domestic sales grew 39.9% from 3,850 units to 5,385 units. However, exports for the company dipped 27%, going from 2,924 units last year to 2,123 units in the same period this year. The company did not attribute any reason for this decrease.
Festive Demand and New City, ZR-V Momentum Drive Growth
Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India said, “August delivered a strong sales performance with 40% growth in domestic sales driven by robust festive demand starting from Onam and good response to New City and ZR-V. We remain optimistic of retaining this momentum and building on the strong customer response across our portfolio.”
