Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has announced an expansion of its campaign for the preventive replacement of fuel pumps in 90,468 older units of select models in India. This campaign also covers 2,204 additional units where fuel pumps were replaced as spare parts in the past.

The vehicles included in this campaign may have fuel pumps with defective impellers, which could lead to engine issues, such as the engine stopping or failing to start over time. HCIL will conduct the replacements free of charge at authorized dealerships across India, starting 5th November 2024, with vehicle owners being contacted individually.

The affected models include the Amaze, Brio, BR-V, City, Jazz, and WR-V, produced from September 2017 to June 2018. Specifically, 18,851 units of the Amaze, 3,317 units of the Brio, 4,386 units of the BR-V, 32,872 units of the City, 16,744 units of the Jazz, and 14,298 units of the WR-V are involved. Additionally, 2,204 units across various models, including the Accord, Amaze, Brio, BR-V, City, Civic, Jazz, and WR-V, where fuel pumps were replaced as spare parts, are covered under this campaign.

Customers can check if their vehicle is included by entering the 17-character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on a microsite available on the HCIL website (www.hondacarindia.com). Those who purchased the Fuel Pump Assembly from an authorized Honda dealership between June 2017 and October 2023 for over-the-counter sale can also verify their vehicle status through any Honda dealership.
