Honda Cars India Domestic Sales Down 22.75% in April 2025
In view of the prevailing market conditions and subdued consumer sentiment, the company had strategically moderated dispatches in April to maintain optimal inventory levels across its network, according to company management.
Honda Cars India Ltd.reported total sales of 4,871 units in April 2025. This figure includes 3,360 units sold in the domestic market and 1,511 units exported.
For comparison, Honda Cars recorded 4,351 domestic unit sales and 6,516 units exported in April 2024, reflecting a decline in both domestic and export figures this year.
The company’s sales reflect a strategic shift in approach, with the company deliberately moderating dispatches to its dealer network in response to current market trends.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd., stated, “In view of the prevailing market conditions and subdued consumer sentiment, we have strategically moderated the dispatches in the month of April to maintain optimal inventory level across our network, ensuring operational efficiency and preparing for demand fluctuations without burdening the dealers.”
Looking ahead, Honda aims to stimulate demand with new offerings. “We are introducing certain grades of Elevate at attractive new price points along with other benefits in the month of May, ensuring greater value for our customers,” Mr. Behl added.
