Honda Digital Innovation India (HDII) has partnered with startup incubator T-Hub to launch the Honda Innovation Challenge 2.0, committing a total funding corpus of up to Rs 4.8 crore to co-develop digital mobility and customer experience platforms.
The year-long initiative will run three distinct innovation cohorts, selecting four startups per challenge. Each selected venture will receive up to Rs 40 lakh to develop proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions during a 12-week development sprint alongside Honda's engineering and business units, up from the Rs 10 lakh PoC support offered during the initial edition.
Startup Benefits: Funding, Data Access and Mentorship Support
Participating startups will get access to Honda's operational data, testing facilities, and deployment channels, along with mentorship and market access via T-Hub. Viable PoCs will move toward pilot deployments and potential commercial integration across Honda's vehicle ecosystems and aftersales networks.
"Honda Digital Innovation brings together the transformation of people's lives through digital technology and the value that we want the Honda brand to create," said Toshiyuki Yanagisawa, Chief Executive Officer of Honda Digital Innovation India. "Our mission is to explore and deliver new forms of value, and the Honda Innovation Challenge is the platform where we bring together partners with new ideas and technologies to create that future."
First Edition Recap: From Attento Technologies to AutoBeacon
The rollout follows the first edition concluded in May 2026, where four startups (Attento Technologies, Xane AI, SenSight Technologies/AutoBeacon, and AppTestify) validated PoCs focused on driver behaviour monitoring, vehicle residual value estimation, and digital customer engagement. Those applications are currently under evaluation for commercial deployment across Honda touchpoints.
