Switch Mobility Ltd. (SWITCH), the electric vehicle arm of the Hinduja Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MoEVing, an electric mobility platform, to deliver 2,500 units of its IeV4 electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Five SWITCH IeV4 vehicles from the initial order for 100 vehicles were delivered on Wednesday, the company statement said.
The IeV4, recently launched by Switch Mobility, is a light commercial vehicle (LCV) is a variant of the SWITCH IeV Series. Designed with a 32.2 kWh battery, it offers a 120 km range. Secondly, it comes with 60 kW motor and 230 Nm torque and boasts a 1700 kg payload capacity connected with telematics solution. This system optimises routes, promotes efficient driving, prevents breakdowns, and provides real-time data for streamlined deliveries, the company added.

The company aims to manufacture approximately 3,000 units per year, catering to diverse applications like cargo transport, containers, garbage collection, and refrigerated vans. Switch Mobility has already secured MoUs for 12,000 to 13,000 e-LCVs, demonstrating strong early demand.
