Hexagon launches first made-in-India coordinate measuring machine ENSPEC
The ENSPEC coordinate measuring machine offers versatile configurations, making them a top choice for inspection, quality control, and automation in manufacturing, Hexagon said.
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence India has unveiled ENSPEC, a multidimensional coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Produced at Hexagon's Noida facility, ENSPEC is available for shipment from September 2024. The new CMM integrates advanced technology and is designed to support various industries by offering a choice of measurement solutions, including touch-trigger probes and scanning sensors. This will enable manufacturers to meet diverse inspection and automation requirements.
The ENSPEC machines are built with a high-quality granite and anodized aluminum frame and are equipped with a range of features such as pneumatic balancing technology, precise triangular traverse, and tactile scanning systems. This launch of signifies a milestone in Hexagon’s India operations, as it strengthens its local manufacturing capabilities.
This marks the first time Hexagon has developed and manufactured a metrology product entirely in India, tailored specifically to the needs of Indian manufacturers.

"The launch of the ENSPEC series is a testament to Hexagon’s commitment to the Make in India initiative, championed by the Government of India."
Anup Verma, managing director of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's Metrology Division in India said that ENSPEC is designed to ensure high performance and versatility, making it suitable for inspection, quality control, and automation in the manufacturing sector.
ENSPEC joins Hexagon’s range of metrology solutions, which have long supported manufacturers in India. These tools help engineers bridge the gap between design and real-world production by providing actionable insights and improving decision-making processes.
With the launch of ENSPEC, Hexagon continues its push to advance digitalization strategies in manufacturing, bringing advanced measurement capabilities to the forefront of India’s industrial landscape, the company said.
