Hero MotoCorp has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the VIDA Evooter VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant, unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Sunday.

The new variant features a dual-removable-battery system that delivers a real-world range of up to 100 kilometers per charge. With peak power of 6 kW and torque of 26 Nm, the electric scooter can reach a top speed of 70 km/h. Riders can select between Eco and Ride modes depending on their performance requirements.

The VX2 Go 3.4 kWh is designed with practicality in mind, featuring a flat floorboard, large seat, 27.2-liter under-seat storage, and suspension tuned for Indian road conditions. The scooter is priced at INR 102,000 (ex-showroom Delhi, excluding subsidies and offers).

Hero MotoCorp continues to offer its Battery-as-a-Service model, which allows customers to subscribe to the battery rather than purchasing it outright. Under this model, the VX2 Go 3.4 kWh is available at INR 60,000, with a pay-per-kilometer cost of INR 0.90.

"The new Evooter VX2 Go 3.4 kWh is designed for those who seek more range and efficiency in their commute — conscious of performance, practicality, and purpose," said Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer of Hero MotoCorp's Emerging Mobility Business Unit.

VIDA's charging infrastructure now includes over 4,600 charging points and 700 service touchpoints across India. The company markets its products under the tagline "Ghar Ghar Evooter" (An Evooter in Every Home), emphasizing accessible electric mobility for Indian households.

The VX2 Go 3.4 kWh will be available at VIDA dealerships starting November 2025. With this addition, the Evooter VX2 portfolio now comprises three variants: VX2 Go 2.2 kWh, VX2 Go 3.4 kWh, and VX2 Plus.
