Hero MotoCorp Launches Updated Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 at Rs 86,500
The refreshed 125cc commuter motorcycle features Bluetooth connectivity and a rated fuel efficiency of 72 kilometres per litre.
Hero MotoCorp has introduced the updated version of its 125cc Super Splendor, the XTEC 2.0, in the domestic market. The new variant has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 86,500 in Delhi. The rollout is part of the company's product portfolio revitalization strategy with updated electronic features and revised aesthetics.
The motorcycle is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine that generates 10.7 bhp of power at 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.6 Nm at 6000 rpm. The model delivers a manufacturer-rated fuel efficiency of 72 kilometres per litre, which is enabled through a combination of programmed fuel injection and an idle stop-start system. The powertrain also integrates an integrated starter generator designed to facilitate low-noise engine startup and seamless restarts during idling in dense traffic conditions.
On the safety and electronics front, the variant introduces hazard lights to the Super Splendor series. The bike comes equipped with a front disc brake for enhanced braking control, a telescopic front suspension, a handlebar-mounted engine kill switch, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The digital console features Bluetooth connectivity to display incoming call alerts, SMS notifications, and phone battery status. Additional additions include a real-time mileage indicator, a low fuel warning light, and a USB Type-C smartphone charging port.
Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer of the India Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, stated that the product upgrades are intended to deliver advanced technology and enhanced utility to the segment. The motorcycle is currently available across national dealerships.
