Hero MotoCorp launches Karizma XMR at Rs 1.73 lakh
The launch of this XMR model marks the return of the popular Karizma moniker after more than three years in the Indian market.
Reiterating its accelerated focus in the premium segment, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, today launched the Karizma XMR, at Rs 1.73 lakh.
The motorcycle is powered by 210cc Liquid Cooled DOHC Engine, 6 Speed transmission that comes with Slip and Assist Clutch and Dual Channel ABS.
With today’s customers looking for Advanced Technology, the new Karizma XMR is packed with the segment-first adjustable windshield, Intelligent Illumination Headlamp and Turn-By-Turn navigation.
In keeping with its Mission to Create, Collaborate and Inspire, the new Karizma XMR is the result of a unique collaboration between the world class engineers at Hero’s state-of-the-art Hero Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur and the Hero Tech Centre Germany (TCG) near Munich.

The Karizma XMR is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled, 210cc, single-cylinder engine making 25.5hp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7,250rpm, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. This new liquid-cooled engine (a Hero first) is nestled within a steel trellis frame, suspended by a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock.
Priced at Rs 1,72,900 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, introductory), the Hero Karizma XMR rivals the Yamaha R15 V4 (Rs 1.82 lakh – Rs 1.95 lakh), Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Rs 1.81 lakh – Rs 2.05 lakh), Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 (Rs 1.72 lakh) and KTM RC 200 (Rs 2.18 lakh). Bookings open today at 2:10pm.
