Hero MotoCorp Enters Ecuador with Quilmotors Partnership, Plans Network Expansion

Hero MotoCorp has entered the Ecuador market through an exclusive distribution agreement with Quilmotors, marking its expansion in South America.

Under the partnership, Quilmotors will handle local assembly operations, dealer network development, sales, after-sales service and spare parts distribution across the country. The companies will begin operations with the launch of a flagship outlet in Guayaquil, located on Avenida de las Américas, a key automotive corridor in the city.

The facility will showcase Hero MotoCorp’s latest product portfolio, including its 2027 line-up, and will house service workshops and spare parts inventory. The company said the outlet is designed to support sales and after-sales requirements from the start of operations.

Hero MotoCorp will introduce a portfolio of eight models in Ecuador, covering multiple segments. The range includes commuter motorcycles such as Eco Deluxe and Eco 150, premium street motorcycles like Hunk 125R and Hunk 160R 4V, dual-purpose bikes including XPulse 200 4V and XPulse 200 4V Pro, and scooters such as Xoom 110 and Xoom 125R.

The company said the product mix has been selected to address varied riding conditions and customer requirements in the country. All models will be offered with a warranty of five years or 60,000 kilometres.

Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President for Global Business at Hero MotoCorp, said Ecuador offers growth potential due to rising demand for personal mobility. He added that the partnership combines the company’s product capabilities with Quilmotors’ local market knowledge.

Felipe Estrada of Quilmotors said the company will focus on building sales and service operations to support the brand’s entry and expansion.

Following the launch in Guayaquil, Hero MotoCorp plans to expand into other markets including Quito, Manta and the Manabí Province region. The company said it will scale its distribution and service network in phases to increase reach and accessibility.

Hero MotoCorp currently operates in 52 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America, and is expanding its presence in international markets.
