Hero MotoCorp reported a substantial increase in its monthly volumes, dispatching 5,66,086 units in April 2026 compared to the 3,05,406 units recorded during the same month last year. The manufacturer's performance was driven largely by the domestic market, which accounted for 5,32,433 units in April 2026, up from 2,88,524 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. Additionally, domestic retail performance showed an eight percent growth with 5,52,713 vehicle registrations recorded through the VAHAN portal during the month.
Within the product categories, motorcycle dispatches reached 5,01,791 units for the month, an increase from the 2,86,089 units sold in April 2025. The scooter segment also saw significant growth, rising to 64,295 units from 19,317 units previously. The company noted that its internal combustion engine segment achieved its highest April dispatches in the post pandemic period, registering an 83 percent year on year volume growth across its entry, deluxe, premium, and scooter categories. Concurrently, the automaker's emerging mobility and electric vehicle business, VIDA, recorded a 129 percent year on year growth by more than doubling its dispatches.
The company's global business registered an upward trajectory with export shipments totalling 33,653 units in April 2026, compared to 16,882 units in the same month last year. To strengthen its international presence, the manufacturer partnered with Quilmotors to serve as its exclusive distributor in Ecuador. On the domestic front, the company expanded its retail network by opening 70 new touchpoints, bringing its total Premia outlet network to 132 locations across the country.
