Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson Unveil H-D X440 T and CVO Models in India

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have expanded their co-developed premium motorcycle lineup with the launch of the H-D X440 T, featuring advanced rider technologies and contemporary styling. The partners also introduced two top-tier Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) models to the Indian market.

The X440 T builds upon the success of the original X440, which launched in July 2023 and brought new riders into the Harley-Davidson community. The updated model incorporates ride-by-wire technology with switchable traction control and rear-only switchable ABS, along with two ride modes for road and rain conditions.

Notable features include a redesigned rear sub-frame with improved pillion ergonomics and a segment-first panic braking alert system. The alert activates all indicators during emergency braking when deceleration exceeds 2.4 meters per second, blinking four times faster than standard rate to warn following traffic.

Kolja Rebstock, Senior Vice President of International Markets at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, described the X440 T as "the next strategic step in bringing advanced technology and a dynamic, sport-oriented appeal to a new generation of riders."

Ravi Avalur, Head of Harley-Davidson Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, stated that the expansion marks a significant milestone in the partnership and reinforces the company's strategic focus on the premium motorcycle segment.

The manufacturers have restructured the X440 lineup pricing to improve accessibility. The X440 T starts at ₹2,79,500, while the X440 S and X440 Vivid are priced at ₹2,54,900 and ₹2,34,500 respectively, all ex-showroom.

The CVO Road Glide, making its India debut, features a distinctive aerodynamic sharknose fairing and is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine, producing 115 horsepower and 189 newton-meters of torque. Priced at ₹67,36,720 ex-showroom, it includes the advanced Skyline OS infotainment system on a 12.3-inch display.

The CVO Street Glide, featuring a redesigned Batwing fairing and the same powertrain, is available at ₹63,03,142 ex-showroom. Both models come with premium audio systems, exclusive custom paint, and high-end finishes.

Actor Ahaan Panday has been named brand ambassador for Harley-Davidson India. Following his role in the film "Saiyaara," Panday will lead campaigns and rider community initiatives aimed at engaging younger enthusiasts.

The entire Harley-Davidson Softail cruiser lineup now features variants of the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, available in Classic, Custom, and High Output configurations.

Bookings for the X440 T open December 7, 2025, through Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia dealer networks nationwide, as well as online.

Hero MotoCorp, based in New Delhi, has been the world's largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer for 24 consecutive years. The company operates eight manufacturing facilities globally and maintains strategic partnerships with Harley-Davidson and Zero Motorcycles for premium and electric motorcycle development.
