Heavy Rain Disruption Halts Tata Motors Production at Sanand Facilities
Flooding in Gujarat affects manufacturing plants and regional supplier operations for Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, and Sierra models.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited has reported a temporary disruption of operations at its manufacturing plants in Sanand, Gujarat, following heavy rainfall and flooding in the region.
The affected facilities produce the Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, and Sierra models. Supply chain operations were also impacted, with severe disruptions reported across regional supplier units in and around Gujarat.
In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, the company stated that restoration efforts are underway at both vendor units and primary assembly plants. Management expects to normalize production operations within the next few days.
The company said that the total quantum of financial loss and damage remains under assessment.
