Gulf Oil Reports 17.5% Jump in Profit in FY25

The company's annual revenue crossed the Rs 3,500-crore milestone for the first time, reaching Rs 3,554.36 crores against Rs 3,284.10 crores in FY24.

Gulf Oil Reports 17.5% Jump in Profit in FY25

Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited posted a robust 17.58% growth in profit after tax (PAT) for fiscal year 2025, reaching Rs 362.25 crores compared to Rs 308.10 crores in the previous year. The Hinduja Group company also achieved record highs in revenue, volume, and EBITDA for the year.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, the company reported PAT of Rs 91.62 crores, up 7.24% from Rs 85.43 crores in the same period last year. Quarterly revenue from operations grew 7.30% to Rs 915.08 crores from Rs 852.82 crores year-on-year.

The company's annual revenue crossed the Rs 3,500-crore milestone for the first time, reaching Rs 3,554.36 crores against Rs 3,284.10 crores in FY24, marking an 8.23% increase. EBITDA for the year surged 12.09% to Rs 470.07 crores from Rs 419.38 crores, with margins improving by 46 basis points to 13.23%.

The board declared a final dividend of Rs 28.00 per equity share (1,400% on face value of Rs 2), bringing the total dividend for FY25 to Rs 48.00 per equity share, including an interim dividend of Rs 20 per share declared in February 2025.

Basic earnings per share for the full year stood at Rs 73.57 compared to Rs 62.79 in the previous year.

Managing Director and CEO Ravi Chawla highlighted the company's achievement in increasing market share across all key segments while delivering volume growth at twice the industry rate. "These results were supported by focused strategic efforts to strengthen our market penetration, expand our product portfolio across B2B, B2C, and OEM segments, and grow our customer bases," he said.

CFO Manish Gangwal noted the company's historic performance, stating: "We concluded the year on historic highs, delivering record volume, revenue and EBITDA both for the quarter and full year, driven by disciplined fiscal management and focused strategic execution."

The company maintained strong growth momentum with quarterly volume growth at twice the industry rate, driven particularly by double-digit growth in personal mobility and strong performance in the Motorcycle Oils segment. Gulf Oil expanded its distribution network to over 90,000 touchpoints across India.

The company relaunched its AdBlue product with new packaging featuring encryption-based security to prevent counterfeiting and ensure product authenticity.

Gulf Pride Campaign

Gulf Oil launched its biggest campaign for two-wheeler engine oil, relaunching its flagship Gulf Pride product with refreshed packaging and enhanced formulation meeting the latest API SP specifications. The product now offers up to 10,000 km drain interval and 40% better engine protection. The 360-degree campaign features brand ambassador MS Dhoni and targets the emotional connection between bikers and their motorcycles with the message "Bike se pyaar rahega hamesha, naye jaisa."

EV Business Growth

The company's EV charger subsidiary Tirex, in which Gulf Oil holds a 51% stake, achieved remarkable growth with revenues jumping over 300% to Rs 79 crores for the year. The subsidiary recorded Rs 39 crores turnover in Q4 alone and remains on track to deliver targeted revenues of Rs 400-500 crores within 3-4 years.

Tirex has established a semi-automatic AC Charger assembly line with full automatic end-of-line inspection, claimed to be the first of its kind in India. The subsidiary continues expanding its team, advancing technology roadmap, and investing in R&D.

Techperspect (brand ElectreeFi), Gulf Oil's EV SaaS provider investment, continued performing well by securing new marquee customers throughout the year.

CSR and Sustainability Initiatives

Gulf Oil completed several major CSR projects including springshed restoration and afforestation in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, benefiting over 7,800 people and recharging 18.4 million liters of water. The company installed a Water ATM in Chotila, Rajkot with 500 LPH capacity and completed rainwater harvesting and urban afforestation projects in Daund, Maharashtra.

The ongoing Kushal Mechanic Training Program in Mumbai and Chennai focuses on upskilling two-wheeler and commercial vehicle mechanics on BS VI technology and workshop management.

On sustainability, the company significantly expanded solar capacity at its Chennai plant and conducted organization-wide BRSR awareness training for all employees, key managerial personnel, and board members.

Gulf Oil's Formula SUV campaign won multiple awards including Silver for Best Use of OOH at e4M Marketing Awards and Silver for Best Use of Mall & Cineplex Media at OOH Phoenix Awards.

Subsidiary Tirex won three awards during the quarter, including recognition for Manufacturing Sustainable EV Charging Infrastructure, EV Fleet Charging Solution Provider for 2024, and Best High Power DC Charger for Fleet Vehicles.
