Gulf Oil and Piaggio India extend partnership for lubricant until 2032

Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd and Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd , a subsidiary of the Italian auto giant Piaggio Group, have renewed their strategic partnership for two-wheeler lubricants. The exclusive agreement, originally signed in January 2020, has been extended until 2032, reinforcing both companies' commitment to delivering high-quality, co-branded lubricants tailored to Piaggio’s two-wheeler lineup.

Under this agreement, Gulf Oil will remain Piaggio India’s official lubricant partner, supplying factory fill, workshop services, and catering to retail markets across India and select export regions. Gulf Oil and Piaggio continue to collaborate in the commercial vehicle segment, ensuring advanced lubricant solutions for multiple vehicle categories.

Mr. Ravi Chawla, MD & CEO of Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited, expressed excitement about the renewal, citing the collaboration’s success in delivering advanced lubricants that enhance engine reliability and performance. He highlighted Gulf’s commitment to the growing superbike market and emphasized their focus on offering exceptional value to customers while reinforcing Gulf’s leadership in the Indian lubricants sector.

Since the inception of the partnership, Gulf and Piaggio have co-developed advanced engine oils and coolants for scooters, motorcycles, and high-performance sports bikes. Fully synthetic lubricants, currently under testing, are part of this continuous drive for innovation and performance improvement. These solutions are designed to optimize engine efficiency and durability while meeting eco-friendly standards.

Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman & MD of Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, reaffirmed the alignment between Piaggio’s engineering excellence and Gulf’s world-class lubricants.
