Grindwell Norton Abrasives showcases innovative abrasive solutions at IMTEX 2023
The company unveiled unique IIOT-based Industry 4.0 grinding solutions for manual and automated grinding.
Norton Abrasives, a leading player in the abrasives business, showcased advanced engineered, high-performance solutions at the recently concluded IMTEX 2023 Bengaluru, the country’s largest machine tool and manufacturing technologies exhibition.
The Norton booth at IMTEX, themed around 'Technology', featured high-performance solutions for the automotive components, foundry, gear and bearing industries, as well as emerging sectors such as electric vehicles, solar power, electronics, and aerospace.
The company also revealed IIoT solutions such as Norton Band, a smart wearable device that pairs with grinding power tools to help perform grinding safely, smoothly and smartly by visualizing data on various operational and human centric safety parameters. PGS (Performance Grinding Solutions) digital-based services that facilitate better understanding on automated grinding with process monitoring and optimization for overall productivity improvement were also introduced. These technologies will make it easier to assist leading industries in enhancing performance and modernizing production systems for the future.
