Greaves Retail launches new electric construction equipment at bauma CONEXPO India 2024
Greaves Retail introduces sustainable, zero-emission construction equipment, enhancing performance and reducing operational costs for India’s growing construction sector.
Greaves Retail, a division of Greaves Cotton Limited, unveiled its new range of electric light construction equipment at bauma CONEXPO India 2024. The company continues to focus on providing sustainable, zero-emission solutions that enhance performance while reducing operational costs.
The newly launched products include a Mini Excavator range designed for heavy-duty excavation tasks. These excavators are available in the 2-ton to 4-ton category and feature a powerful Kubota engine that delivers superior performance in challenging conditions.
Greaves Retail has introduced an Electric Scissor Lift with platform heights ranging from 6 meters to 14 meters, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects. The lift is equipped with advanced safety features, including overload sensing and automatic braking, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Its battery-powered operation ensures zero-emission and quiet performance.
Additionally, the Electric Boom Lift offers a platform height of 13.8 meters and a horizontal outreach of 7.81 meters, making it well-suited for urban and confined spaces. The machine is available with either zero-maintenance lead acid or lithium batteries, contributing to low maintenance requirements.
Excel Controlinkage Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Ltd., showcased its advanced engineering capabilities at the event. The display included high-performance gear shift levers, cables, and components for commercial vehicles and construction equipment. The exhibit also featured metal bonded rubber products engineered for durability and efficiency in demanding environments.
Narasimha Jayakumar, CEO of Greaves Retail, stated, “The construction sector in India is expanding due to significant government investments in infrastructure. Our new range of electrified construction equipment reflects our commitment to supporting this growth while promoting sustainability.”
Greaves Retail’s entry into the construction equipment sector is part of its diversification strategy, focusing on expanding its multi-product and multi-fuel offerings to strengthen its position in various industries.
