Greaves Electric Mobility Secures Two Awards at CII Global Design Summit
Electric vehicle manufacturer wins silver award and top 100 recognition for innovative three-wheeler and scooter designs.
Greaves Electric Mobility (GEML) received dual recognition at the 25th CII Global Design and Exposition Summit 2025, with its Greaves Xargo winning a Silver Award and Ampere Xpress earning a place on the Top 100 Design List.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) honored GEML at the silver jubilee edition of the summit, acknowledging the company's design-driven approach to electric mobility solutions.
The award-winning Greaves Xargo is an electric three-wheeler designed for commercial and urban logistics applications. The vehicle features a 300 kg payload capacity, reaches speeds up to 50 kmph, and offers a real-world range exceeding 100 km. It includes IoT-enabled features and modular accessories tailored for business-to-business services and delivery operations.
The Ampere Xpress, which secured a position on the Top 100 Good Design List, is marketed as a versatile electric scooter aimed at commercial users. The vehicle can carry payloads over 200 kg, reaches 60 kmph, and offers flexible battery options including swapping compatibility. It comes with IoT connectivity and a five-year or 75,000 km warranty.
Both vehicles were initially unveiled as concept models at Auto Expo 2025. GEML operates through three manufacturing facilities located in Hyderabad, Noida, and Ranipet, supported by 400 dealer touchpoints nationwide.
Greaves Electric Mobility, a division of Greaves Cotton Limited, has been active in India's electric vehicle sector for over 17 years, according to company statements citing CRISIL reports. The company produces both two-wheelers and three-wheelers for the Indian market.
The CII Global Design Summit recognizes innovation and design excellence across various industries in India.
