Greaves Electric Mobility registers 40% Q-on-Q E2W growth in Q3 FY26, claims Top 6 spot
The company recorded over 18,000 electric two-wheeler registrations on Vahan in the October-December quarter, while its electric three-wheeler volumes grew 33% sequentially.
Greaves Electric Mobility (GEML) has reported a 40% quarter-on-quarter increase in electric two-wheeler (E2W) registrations during Q3 FY26, with over 18,000 units logged on the Vahan portal. The company said the gains have pushed its national E2W market share to 5%, placing it among the top six players in the segment.
The growth was driven largely by select state-level markets. GEML said it has taken the leading position in Bihar with a 21.5% share, while it holds approximately 13% across Tamil Nadu, Odisha and West Bengal — three states that together account for around 21% of national E2W volumes. New product launches and an expanding dealer network contributed to the uptick, according to the company.
In the electric three-wheeler (E3W) segment, GEML reported its strongest quarterly showing to date, with Vahan-registered volumes up 33% quarter-on-quarter. The company attributed this to the phased regional rollout of the Eltra City Xtra across North, East and South India.
"Q3 FY26 reflects strong execution of our strategy by the entire team, which has strengthened our position as a Top 6 player in India's electric two-wheeler market," said Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility.
The company's flagship E2W, the Ampere Nexus, runs on LFP battery chemistry. GEML has undertaken a series of endurance runs with the scooter — including a Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari trip covering over 10,000 km and a climb to Shipki La Pass at 13,000 feet — to demonstrate real-world range and durability, earning entries in the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.
Looking ahead, GEML said it plans to deepen its retail presence in North and West India while consolidating gains in the South and East. The company is also evaluating export opportunities, building on an existing footprint in Nepal. It currently operates over 500 service and retail touchpoints nationwide.
