Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML) announced on April 24, 2026, the launch of the new Ampere Magnus Neo, a revised variant of its existing Magnus Neo platform, aimed at improving rider comfort and ease of handling for daily urban use.

The new model features a kerb weight of 103 kg and a seat height of 777 mm, both lower than prior iterations, which the company says allows for better ground reach and simpler navigation in stop-and-go traffic. A new wheel and motor configuration has been introduced to deliver smoother acceleration and more stable handling across varied road conditions.

The scooter continues to run on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, which GEML claims offers an extended battery life of up to 10 years and is tested to operate across temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C. The dual-frame chassis and tuned braking system are carried over from the existing Magnus Neo platform.

Managing Director Vikas Singh described the launch as an effort to make electric mobility more accessible for a broader range of riders, with a focus on practical performance suited to Indian road conditions.

The new Magnus Neo is available in four colour options, Mystic Mauve, Butter Yellow, Ocean Blue, and Matcha Green, and is offered through GEML's network of 400 dealer touchpoints across India.

Greaves Electric Mobility is a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Limited, a 165-year-old engineering conglomerate. The company operates manufacturing plants in Hyderabad, Noida, and Ranipet, and holds eight India Book of Records titles in the electric vehicle segment.
