Greaves Electric Mobility Expands Market Share Driven by Nexus and Magnus Grand

India's electric two-wheeler market recorded significant growth in the first half of FY26, with Vahan registered volumes increasing 54% year-on-year. Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML) capitalized on this momentum, expanding its national market share by a full percentage point while establishing strong regional positions in Tamil Nadu (12%), Bihar (14%), and Odisha (6%) during Q2.

The company's growth was primarily attributed to two models: the Ampere Nexus and Magnus Grand. The Magnus Grand, launched at INR 89,999 this quarter, features a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery backed by a 5-year/75,000-km warranty, along with enhanced braking systems, an upgraded digital cluster, and dual-tone color options with gold badging.

The Ampere Nexus achieved recognition in the India Book of Records as the first electric scooter to reach 13,200 feet at Shipki La Pass. The model now includes smart connectivity features such as map mirroring, performance insights, and music and call alerts.

In the three-wheeler segment, GEML maintained steady performance as L5 Vahan registrations grew 9% year-on-year. The ELTRA City Xtra, which completed a 324-kilometer single-charge run, offers IoT features designed for fleet operations.

"The Ampere Nexus and Magnus Grand have played a significant role in strengthening the brand's position, while the ELTRA City Xtra has reinforced commercial momentum with its national-record range performance," said Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility. "Our 100% transition to LFP battery technology and continued investments in IoT and fleet solutions are helping build a more reliable and future-ready mobility platform built for Bharat."

GEML plans to expand its retail presence in North and West India while strengthening its dealer network in South and East regions. The company has established operations in Nepal and is exploring export opportunities for two-wheelers in Sri Lanka and three-wheelers in select African markets.
