Goodyear India Launches Ultra Grip Tractor Tire for Farm Segment
Goodyear India has rolled out its new Ultra Grip tractor tyre, unveiled at a Chandigarh product showcase attended by around 100 dealers, aiming to boost traction and durability for farmers across varied field conditions nationwide.
Goodyear India has introduced the Ultra Grip tractor tyre, a new addition to its farm tyre portfolio aimed at supporting agricultural operations across the country. The tyre was unveiled during a product showcase held in Chandigarh, which brought together roughly 100 dealers and channel partners from across India.
The company said Ultra Grip has been engineered to address the needs of Indian farmers working in demanding field conditions, with a focus on grip, durability and extended tyre life. According to Goodyear, the tyre's design incorporates a deeper tread pattern intended to improve traction across varied terrain, along with puncture-resistant construction and a cut- and chip-resistant compound meant to withstand rough field surfaces. The company also said the tyre offers improved stability, aimed at giving farmers greater control during everyday use.
Arvind Bhandari, Managing Director of Goodyear India, said the launch reflects rising demand from Indian farmers for tyres capable of delivering reliable performance as farming practices become more intensive.
The Ultra Grip is currently available in a 14.9-28 size, with the company indicating that additional sizes are planned. It will be distributed through Goodyear India's existing dealer network in key agricultural markets.
Goodyear India has operated in the country for more than 104 years and runs a manufacturing facility in Ballabgarh, Faridabad, producing farm and commercial truck tyres. The company supplies tyres to major tractor manufacturers in India and also deals in passenger car tyres. Goodyear additionally operates a consumer tyre plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, and a technology centre in Hyderabad.
