GNA Energy Names Ambrish Kumar Khare as Senior Executive Vice President
The Gurugram-based digital power trading platform has brought on a nearly two-decade power sector veteran to lead business development, as it pushes into AI-driven energy intelligence and organised coal market infrastructure.
GNA Energy, a digital over-the-counter platform for electricity trading and power market intelligence, has appointed Ambrish Kumar Khare as Senior Executive Vice President, the company announced on Tuesday.
In his new role, Khare will be responsible for driving business development strategy, building institutional partnerships, and expanding GNA Energy's presence across India's short-term power market ecosystem.
Khare brings close to two decades of experience in India's power sector, spanning energy trading, power procurement, market strategy, and energy management. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Power Management from the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) in Faridabad.
He joins from Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), New Delhi, where he served as Vice President and Head of Business Development. During his tenure at PXIL, he played a key role in growing the exchange's market share, driving trading volume, and managing strategic relationships across the national power ecosystem. He also oversaw the achievement of record single-day trading volumes at the exchange.
Prior to PXIL, Khare held senior positions at GMR Energy Limited, Shree Cement, and Tata Power, building experience across power procurement, project planning, and business strategy.
GNA Energy operates as a digital platform connecting electricity buyers and sellers while offering AI-powered tools for power distribution companies, generators, and other market participants. The company positions itself as a data and infrastructure layer for India's power markets, distinct from conventional utilities or trading intermediaries.
