Genesys Wins Major Airport Mapping Contract with 3D Subsurface Technology

Genesys International Corporation has secured a contract valued at INR 17.38 crore to conduct India's first comprehensive 3D subsurface mapping project across multiple airports.

The project, awarded by Bureau Veritas, will involve deploying 3D Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology to detect and map underground utilities at six airports operated by the Adani Group. The airports include facilities in Mumbai, Trivandrum, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Ahmedabad.

Genesys will utilize 3D GPR technology designed for subsurface mapping, combined with high-precision LiDAR systems, to create detailed 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) outputs for the complete airport environments. The technology aims to provide accurate visualization of underground infrastructure, addressing a growing need in infrastructure development.

The company has previously undertaken large-scale geospatial and infrastructure digitization projects in India and Saudi Arabia. Earlier this year, Genesys launched 3D ADAS navigation maps, which received recognition from Tata Motors.

Bureau Veritas, the contracting authority, is an international testing, inspection, and certification services provider with operations spanning nearly two centuries. The organization specializes in ensuring quality, safety, and environmental compliance across various industries.

Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director of Genesys International Corporation, described the initiative as marking a significant development in infrastructure mapping capabilities. He noted that the technology would establish new standards for mapping complex environments.

Genesys International employs over 2,000 professionals and operates a network of sensors across India. The company provides mapping solutions for consumer applications as well as enterprise and government clients.
