Galaxy has announced its entry into the UTV/ATV tyre segment with the launch of two new tyre patterns, Hulk PSX and Everest PSX, targeting off-road utility and recreational vehicle applications.

The company said the new range has been developed for use across varied terrains and operating conditions, with a focus on durability, traction, puncture resistance and ride stability. The launch marks Galaxy’s expansion into another off-highway tyre category as demand for utility task vehicles (UTVs) and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) continues to grow in several global markets.

Hulk PSX Targets Off-road Performance Applications

The Hulk PSX has been positioned as a tyre for off-road-focused UTV applications. According to the company, the tyre uses a durable compound intended to improve service life, and features reinforced sidewalls aimed at increasing cut resistance.

Galaxy said the tyre also incorporates radial construction for higher-speed operation, along with shoulder block designs intended to improve handling and cornering performance. A deep tread pattern and a high tread-to-void ratio are aimed at enhancing traction and wear resistance in uneven terrain conditions.

The Hulk PSX range will be offered in multiple sizes for 12-inch and 14-inch rims to suit different UTV configurations.

Everest PSX Aimed at Utility-focused Operations

The Everest PSX has been developed primarily for utility-oriented applications. Galaxy stated that the tyre has been engineered for resistance against cuts, chips and abrasions, while also focusing on ride comfort and operational stability.

The tyre features a tread pattern designed to reduce vibration and improve on-road usability. Additional features include enhanced wet-surface grip, rim protection and puncture resistance for longer operating cycles.

Everest PSX will be available in multiple sizes for 12-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch rims.

Dyutiman Chattopadhyay, Chief Technology Officer at Yokohama-ATG, said the move into the UTV/ATV category forms part of the company’s broader global expansion strategy in off-highway tyre segments.
