Force Motors Limited has launched the new Traveller N range, marking a comprehensive update to its light commercial passenger vehicle lineup across ambulance, school bus and delivery van applications. The company said all future production will shift to the new range, effectively replacing the current-generation Traveller.

The Traveller, which has been in the market for over four decades, continues to hold a significant share in its segment, with applications spanning shared mobility, institutional transport and last-mile logistics. The new iteration focuses on incremental improvements across comfort, usability and structural engineering, while also targeting lower total cost of ownership and reduced maintenance complexity.

From a product standpoint, the Traveller N introduces a redesigned cabin with a car-like cockpit layout, including a digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch infotainment screen. Additional updates include new ergonomically designed seating, improved noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels, and a redesigned HVAC system aimed at enhancing cabin cooling efficiency.

Exterior revisions include a new front fascia with LED daytime running lamps and turn indicators, along with a reworked rear design. Structural changes form a key part of the update, with a re-engineered sheet metal structure, improved body-in-white (BIW) build, and a reduction in body joints through revised manufacturing techniques.

The company has also introduced changes at the manufacturing level, including the use of robotics and automated door hemming processes, aimed at improving consistency, fit and finish. These updates are aligned with learnings from the company’s Urbania platform, which has influenced production processes and quality systems.

Mechanically, the Traveller N continues to be powered by the FM 2.6 CR engine compliant with BS-VI Stage 2 emission norms. The model will be offered with telematics and service packages such as ‘iPulse’ for vehicle tracking and diagnostics, and ‘Force Care’, which includes warranty and roadside assistance provisions.
