FlixBus India to Add 120 Buses in South India Expansion

FlixBus India says it plans to add 120 buses across its southern operational network during the third and fourth quarters, as the company enters its third year in the regional market. The company stated that the southern states now represent more than 50% of its total nationwide network.

FlixBus Route Growth in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai

The platform says it recorded triple-digit annual route growth across major southern metropolitan hubs in September 2026 year-on-year. Network capacity from Bengaluru increased by 260%, while routes originating from Hyderabad expanded by 159% and Chennai rose by 100%.

FlixBus New Routes to Guntur, Coonoor and Ooty

Under the upcoming phase of expansion, the operator says it is extending intercity routes across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. The network will incorporate new services connecting to Guntur, Coonoor, and Ooty. In addition, FlixBus introduced a new inter-state route connecting Hyderabad to Puducherry utilizing Volvo Sleeper coaches.
