FlixBus and Vertelo Join Forces to Deploy 500 Electric Intercity Buses in India

FlixBus and Vertelo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly deploy 500 electric intercity coach buses throughout India. The partnership, announced on April 28, 2025, in New Delhi, combines FlixBus's extensive intercity travel network with Vertelo's electric mobility ecosystem solutions.

FlixBus, which currently connects more than 200 cities across India through its digital-first booking platform, will collaborate with Vertelo to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility solutions in intercity travel. Vertelo will provide customized financing and leasing options for electric buses, develop charging infrastructure, and work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure suitable electric coach models are deployed.

Under the agreement, FlixBus will manage demand generation for intercity electric bus routes and identify key routes suitable for electric bus deployment. The partnership aligns with India's vision for greener mobility solutions while supporting FlixBus's pan-India expansion plans.
