Fiem Industries Limited has commissioned an Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing laboratory at its R&D–Electronics Innovation Centre and corporate office in Gurugram.

The facility has been set up to support the company’s development of automotive lighting electronics for two-wheelers and passenger vehicles, as lighting systems increasingly incorporate LED technology and electronic control components.

The laboratory will allow the company to conduct EMI and EMC validation tests for automotive lighting products in-house. These tests are required to ensure compliance with automotive regulatory standards and specifications set by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

The facility is located at the company’s R&D–Electronics Innovation Centre in SP Infocity, Udyog Vihar Phase-1, Gurugram, Haryana.

J.K. Jain, chairman and managing director of Fiem Industries, said the commissioning of the laboratory forms part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its technology and product development capabilities.

According to the company, the in-house testing facility is expected to improve electronic design capabilities for automotive lighting systems and shorten product development timelines. It is also intended to reduce dependence on external testing facilities and support internal validation processes.

Fiem Industries manufactures automotive lighting products and supplies components to vehicle manufacturers in the two-wheeler and four-wheeler segments. The company said it continues to invest in engineering infrastructure and product development as electronic content in vehicle lighting systems increases.
