Orders for Ferrari's first fully electric vehicle, the Luce, already cover the volumes the Italian luxury carmaker plans to sell next year, CEO Benedetto Vigna said on November 3, according to Reuters.
Speaking while presenting the company's third-quarter results, Vigna said Ferrari had received sufficient orders to allocate its planned 2027 production. First customer deliveries of the Luce are scheduled for the end of 2026.
"Everything we plan to sell next year is already fully allocated," Vigna told media, adding that customer test drives scheduled for 2027 could generate further demand.
Ferrari has not disclosed specific sales targets for the Luce in 2027. The model, unveiled in May, attracted criticism over its unconventional design.
Vigna said the company was not facing significant challenges relating to either manufacturing or demand, although the vehicle's development involved several new components and technologies.
The Luce represents part of Ferrari's broader electrification strategy. The company is working on additional electric models as it seeks to have fully electric vehicles account for 20 percent of its product range by 2030.
