The 13th edition of EXCON, South Asia's premier construction equipment exhibition, opens tomorrow at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, running through December 13, 2025.
Organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry, the event has grown substantially since its inception in 2000. This year's exhibition spans 3.5 million square feet and hosts over 1,250 exhibitors, including 134 international participants. Seven country pavilions representing France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, China, and the UK will showcase their latest innovations.
EXCON ranks as the third-largest construction equipment exhibition globally and the second-largest in Asia. The organizers aim to elevate it to the world's second-largest exhibition by 2032.
R. Mukundan, President Designate of CII and Chairman of EXCON 2025, highlighted India's infrastructure development trajectory. The country has allocated ₹11.21 lakh crore for infrastructure in the fiscal year 2025-26, supporting projects including Bharatmala, high-speed rail, and Smart Cities under the PM Gati Shakti initiative.
"EXCON supports this vision by serving as the largest platform for technology adoption, mechanization, and sustainability in construction," Mukundan stated, noting the exhibition brings together global innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders.
The event will feature over 300 product launches, live demonstrations, and sustainability-focused pavilions. According to Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General of CII, the exhibition provides networking and collaboration opportunities for industry stakeholders.
Deepak Shetty, Co-Chairman of EXCON 2025, emphasized the construction equipment industry's commitment to making India the second-largest and fastest-growing market globally. The sector aims to triple its size to $25 billion and establish India as a global manufacturing and export hub, currently exporting to over 135 countries.
Karnataka's role as a growing manufacturing hub for construction equipment and components will be highlighted throughout the five-day event. The exhibition serves as a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and global participants to explore business opportunities and foster growth in India's infrastructure sector.
