EVFY, a start-up focused on electric automotive solutions, has entered the EV charging infrastructure sector by installing its first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Sector 73, Gurgaon, part of the Delhi NCR region.

This installation is the first of 100 planned charging stations across the area, supporting the growth of electric mobility in India. The charging station, located at The One, Sales Gallery, Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), offers dual gun capability, a digital display with RFID for user interaction and security, and power outputs of 120 kW, 60 kW, and 7.4 kW. These features are designed to cater to a variety of EV models, including two, three, and four-wheelers.

India’s public EV charging infrastructure has seen significant expansion, growing from 1,800 stations in February 2022 to 16,347 by March 2024. With projections indicating that around 50 million EVs could be on the road by 2030, the need for charging stations is expected to increase substantially.

Shikhar Yadav, Founder of EVFY, plans to extend its charging network to areas like Dwarka Expressway, the Airport region, and New Gurgaon. Future installations will include ultra-fast chargers with 150 kW power outputs and hyper-fast chargers offering 350 kW.

The company is also seeking partnerships with EV manufacturers and intends to collaborate with real estate developers and housing societies to further expand its network. Hritik Sharma, Co-Founder of EVFY, stated that the company is focused on simplifying EV ownership and charging to encourage greater adoption of electric vehicles in India. EVFY also plans to introduce an app to facilitate access to its EV charging stations and support the transition to electric mobility.
