Euro-spec Citroen C3 Aircross to be EV only

The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV for the European market will be sold as an EV only, just like its recently unveiled hatchback sibling, the Euro-spec eC3. The eC3 Aircross will make a global debut in the near future.

Citroen eC3 Aircross for Europe: what to expect?

The upcoming eC3 Aircross for Europe will be a 7-seater model as it enters its second generation. It will share the tweaked CC21 platform with the smaller eC3 hatchback but will be much longer to accommodate a third row of seats (2+3+2 layout). Brand CEO Thierry Koskas shared preview images of the new model – later confirmed by a Citroen UK spokesperson to be the new Aircross – at the end of the presentation of the new eC3.

The model will be EV only in Europe, and while there are no powertrain details shared, it may get a combustion-powered engine in future. We expect the eC3 Aircross to come with the same battery setup as the eC3 hatchback, which means it could get a 44kWh battery officially yielding a range of 320km between charges. A cheaper variant with a range of 200km will go on sale in 2025, most likely utilising a smaller battery.

Citroen eC3 Aircross for India

While the petrol-powered C3 Aircross is already on sale in our market, the eC3 Aircross will go on sale in India next year. However, the model that will come to India will be significantly different from the one that will be on sale in Europe.
