Escorts Kubota Limited has reported robust growth in its agricultural machinery segment, with tractor sales reaching 10,580 units in November 2025, marking a 17.9% increase compared to the same period last year.
The company's domestic tractor sales stood at 10,122 units, registering 15.9% growth over November 2024's figure of 8,730 units. The expansion has been attributed to favorable government policies, including reduced GST rates and subsidies on agricultural machinery that have improved affordability for farmers.
Export performance was particularly strong, with 458 tractors sold internationally—an 87.7% jump from 244 units in November 2024. For the eight-month period from April to November, total tractor sales reached 93,836 units, up 12.4% year-on-year.
The tractor industry's momentum has been supported by the conclusion of the Kharif harvesting season and smooth progress in Rabi sowing activities. Improved reservoir levels compared to last year have ensured adequate water supply, creating optimistic conditions for the upcoming agricultural season.
However, the company's Construction Equipment Business Division faced challenges, selling 452 machines in November 2025 compared to 481 units in the same month last year—a 6% decline. The segment has been impacted by extended monsoon conditions, slow project mobilization, and subdued rental rates.
For the April-November period, construction equipment sales totaled 3,105 units, down 20.2% from 3,892 units in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
Escorts Kubota Limited anticipates gradual improvement in the construction segment, supported by government initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure funding and stimulating industrial activity. The company expects sustained growth in the tractor business for the remainder of the fiscal year.
