Escorts Kubota reported a 10 percent year-on-year decline in total tractor dispatches for October 2026, delivering 16,921 units compared to 18,798 units in October 2025.
The company attributed the decline to a high base, shifts in festive timing, and monsoon-related operational disruptions.
The drop was driven primarily by the domestic market, where tractor dispatches fell 11 percent to 16,412 units from 18,423 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Exports provided partial support to total tractor dispatches, expanding 36 percent year-on-year to 509 units in October 2026 compared to 375 units exported in October 2025.
On a sequential basis, tractor dispatches rose 11 percent compared to 15,214 units recorded in September 2026. Domestic tractor dispatches grew 10 percent month-on-month from 14,911 units in September, while tractor exports surged 68 percent from 303 units.
For the seven-month period from April to October 2026, cumulative tractor dispatches grew 5 percent to 87,800 units against 83,256 units in the corresponding period of FY26. Cumulative domestic tractor dispatches rose 6 percent to 84,497 units, while cumulative tractor exports declined 10 percent to 3,303 units.
In contrast to the agricultural segment, the Construction Equipment division recorded a 42 percent year-on-year surge in dispatches for October 2026, delivering 640 machines compared to 452 units in the year-ago period.
However, sequentially, the Construction Equipment division experienced a sequential moderation, with total dispatches declining 20 percent compared to the 795 units dispatched in September 2026.
The company noted that sustained infrastructure activity and project execution supported momentum, while highlighting that geopolitical uncertainties and input cost inflation remain key variables for future demand.
For the April to October 2026 period, cumulative construction equipment dispatches increased 41 percent to 3,748 machines from 2,653 units in the same period in FY26.
