Entuple E-Mobility forms JV with Aditya Auto for Electric Traction Hub and Mid-drive motors
The JV by Aditya Auto and Entuple E-Mobility will have a manufacturing capacity of 270,000 units per annum of Hub-motors and 225,000 units per annum of Mid-drive motors (48V).
E-mobility start-up Entuple E-Mobility and automotive systems supplier Aditya Auto have formed a joint-venture to set up manufacturing facilities for supply of Electric Traction Hub and Mid-drive motors (48V) at Doddaballapur, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The JV by Aditya Auto and Entuple E-Mobility will have a manufacturing capacity of 270,000 units per annum of Hub-motors and 225,000 units per annum of Mid-drive motors (48V) and would be funded through equity contributions by the two partners.
“These motors are completely designed and developed in-house at our R&D facilities in Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram and will be indigenously manufactured in this JV. We aim to bridge the gap in India’s EV value chain with our highly efficient and reliable powertrains catering to both domestic and foreign markets” said Rakesh Mishra, CEO, Entuple E-Mobility Private Limited.
“The establishment of this JV is another key step in Aditya’s commitment towards offering solutions to drive faster adoption of electric mobility in India. The production of BLDC and PMSM Traction Motors will add to our existing portfolio of motors as we strive to offer our customers highperformance, top-quality and cost-effective electric drivetrain solutions with a high level of localisation,” said Mihir Jayaraman, CEO, Aditya Auto Products and Engineering (India) Private Limited.
The production for Hub-Motors and Mid drive motors is expected to commence from November and December respectively, as the joint venture’s Traction Motor plant gets commissioned.
Aditya Auto Products & Engineering is a specialised automotive supplier of mechatronic systems, motors and precision components with 12 plants across India.
Bengaluru-based Entuple E-Mobility is an electric Powertrain (Motor and Motor Controller) and Turbo Charger product company founded by technocrats with deep expertise in Electromagnetics, Power Electronics and Embedded Systems. The company claims to be India's only pure-play Electric Powertrain and charging station company.
