EMotorad, the Pune-based electric cycle manufacturer, has launched its new G1 Cargo e-cycle, aimed at the burgeoning last-mile delivery sector and personal goods transportation. The model has been introduced at a price of ₹49,999.
The company is positioning the G1 Cargo as a cost-effective solution to address the high operational costs associated with urban logistics. Citing industry reports that last-mile delivery can account for up to 53% of total delivery expenses, EMotorad claims its new product can reduce fuel costs by up to 40% compared to conventional petrol-powered two-wheelers.
Powering the G1 Cargo is a 250W rear hub motor, paired with a dual-battery system. The two 48V 10.2Ah batteries are removable and provide a claimed range of up to 100 km on pedal assist or 75 km using only the throttle.
Built on a high-tensile steel longtail frame, the e-cycle has a total weight capacity of 150 kg, enabling the transport of significant loads. The chassis is equipped with an 80mm travel suspension fork at the front and mechanical disc brakes with 180mm rotors for both wheels. It runs on a 24-inch front tyre and a 20-inch rear tyre, both with a 3.0-inch width to support heavy loads. Other features include a Cluster C2 multifunctional display and a 5-year warranty on the frame.
Speaking on the launch, Kunal Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO of EMotorad, stated, “The G1 Cargo E-Cycle is not just for businesses, it’s a solution for anyone who needs to move goods from one place to another in an efficient, cost-effective way. Whether you're a local delivery rider or someone transporting personal goods, the G1 allows you to save on fuel, reduce maintenance costs, and do your part in building a greener future.”
The EMotorad G1 Cargo is available for purchase through the company's official website, dealer network, and select e-commerce platforms.
