EKA Mobility wins ₹150 crore electric bus orders from UPSRTC
EKA Mobility will supply and maintain 70 electric buses, including chargers, for UPSRTC’s fleet, supporting sustainable public transportation in Uttar Pradesh with a 10-year maintenance contract to ensure operational efficiency.
EKA Mobility (Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), a company specializing in electric mobility and technology, has announced securing two orders worth approximately ₹150 crore from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).
The orders include the supply and maintenance of 40 EKA 12, 12-meter AC electric buses, and 30 EKA 9, 9-meter AC electric buses. These vehicles are intended to enhance UPSRTC's fleet with eco-friendly options that prioritize safety, passenger comfort, and operational efficiency. The company will also provide chargers to support smooth operations. Both projects include a long-term annual maintenance contract (AMC) to ensure consistent performance for the next 10 years.
Rohit Srivastava, Chief Growth Officer of EKA Mobility, expressed the company’s commitment to working with UPSRTC to improve public transportation in Uttar Pradesh. He noted that the orders reflect EKA Mobility's focus on delivering sustainable and efficient mobility solutions in India.
These new additions to UPSRTC's fleet are expected to contribute to the state’s shift towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation systems.
