EKA Mobility Electric Buses Launched in Arunachal Pradesh

EKA Mobility launched its electric bus operations in Arunachal Pradesh when Chief Minister Pema Khandu flagged off 10 electric buses supplied to the Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services on World Environment Day.

The electric buses were delivered through a tender facilitated by Convergence Energy Services Limited. The 9-meter electric air-conditioned buses feature a 900mm floor height designed for accessibility and performance suited to Arunachal Pradesh's terrain and intra-city transportation requirements.

EKA Mobility, a leading electric vehicles and technology company, manufactured the buses specifically for the state's unique geographical conditions. The deployment represents a significant expansion of electric public transportation in northeastern India.

The launch positions Arunachal Pradesh among Indian states adopting electric mobility solutions as part of national sustainable transportation objectives. The timing on World Environment Day emphasized the environmental benefits of transitioning from conventional diesel buses to electric alternatives.

"We are honored to contribute to Arunachal Pradesh's vision for a greener future," said Rohit Srivastava, Business Head and Chief Growth Officer at EKA Mobility. "Our vehicles are proudly designed and manufactured in India, reflecting our commitment to sustainable indigenous innovation tailored for diverse Indian geographies."

The electric buses will operate under the Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services, providing emission-free public transportation for residents across the state's urban routes. The vehicles incorporate accessibility features and climate control systems designed for passenger comfort and operational efficiency.

EKA Mobility continues expanding its electric vehicle deployment across Indian states, supporting government initiatives to reduce transportation emissions and improve urban air quality. The company focuses on developing electric mobility solutions adapted to India's diverse geographical and operational requirements.

The Arunachal Pradesh deployment follows EKA Mobility's strategy of partnering with state transport authorities to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in public transportation systems nationwide.

EKA Mobility operates as Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Private Limited with equity partnerships including Mitsui Co. Ltd. of Japan, VDL Groep of the Netherlands, and Pinnacle Industries of India. The company develops electric commercial vehicle technologies and manufacturing processes designed for mass market adoption through modular designs and efficient production methods.
