Eicher Trucks and Magenta Mobility Launch 100 Eicher Pro X Electric Trucks
The Eicher Pro X targets the 2-3.5-tonne segment, designed specifically for mid-mile and last-mile delivery.
Eicher Trucks and Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), has partnered with Magenta Mobility to supply the newly launched Eicher Pro X small electric truck.
The collaboration begins with an initial order of 100 units, with the first batch featuring a 1.7-tonne payload set for deployment across key markets, including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai, as part of a phased rollout.
The Eicher Pro X, unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, targets the 2-3.5-tonne segment, designed specifically for mid-mile and last-mile delivery in sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG, and parcel services. Co-developed with leading logistics players, the truck offers a large cargo space, energy efficiency, and driver-focused features like air-conditioned cabins, advanced safety systems, and an industry-leading turning radius for city and near-city distribution.
The vehicles are supported by Eicher’s Uptime Centre, providing 24/7 monitoring, AI/ML-driven remote diagnostics, and FOTA-enabled telematics, integrated with the 'My Eicher' app. A nationwide network of over 1,000 touchpoints, 470+ service centers, and 7,000+ parts outlets ensures operational reliability.
S S Gill, Chief Commercial Officer of VECV, stated, "Through this association with Magenta Mobility, we are driving the future of smart logistics with advanced, eco-friendly transportation solutions. The Eicher Pro X range is designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance, energy-efficient vehicles in the mid-mile and last-mile delivery sectors and aligns with Magenta Mobility’s focus on decarbonizing last-mile mobility."
Magenta Mobility, a leader in integrated e-mobility solutions, will integrate these trucks into its fleet of over 2,600 electric vehicles operating across 18+ cities. Maxson Lewis, Founder and CEO of Magenta Mobility, said, "Partnering with Eicher Trucks and Buses and integrating the Eicher Pro X trucks into our fleet marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to transforming last-mile logistics in India. This collaboration strengthens our ability to offer efficient, sustainable, and reliable transportation solutions for our diverse customer base."
Magenta Mobility targets a fleet of 10,000 electric cargo vehicles through its ‘Ab Ki Baar Dus Hazaar’ campaign. The company supports key industries like e-commerce, grocery, FMCG, and pharmaceuticals, operating 100 charging depots, completing over 14 lakh monthly deliveries, and logging 35.2 million clean kilometers. This has resulted in offsetting 1,030 tonnes of CO2 while employing over 2,700 delivery executives, the company said.
