Eicher Trucks and Buses Launches Pro Plus Series for Light and Medium Duty Segments

Eicher Trucks and Buses unveiled its next-generation Pro Plus Series on July 29, 2025, at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The new range of light and medium duty trucks includes six models designed for various commercial applications, from intra-city delivery to long-haul transportation.

The Pro Plus Series builds on the existing Pro Series platform with factory-installed air conditioning, increased payload capacity, and digital connectivity features. The trucks come equipped with the MyEicher app and Eicher Live system for real-time vehicle diagnostics and fleet management.

"The Plus range provides customers with a combination of performance and sustainability," said Vishal Mathur, Executive Vice President for Light & Medium Duty Trucks at VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV). "These trucks are built for today's needs and the evolving demands of India's supply chains."

The range includes the Pro 3018XP Plus for long-haul operations with an 18.25-tonne gross vehicle weight and 160 HP engine, and the Pro 2049 Plus for last-mile delivery with a 5.5-tonne capacity. Other models target specific segments including urban logistics, construction, and e-commerce applications.

Each truck features intelligent air conditioning with automatic cut-off during idling to maintain fuel efficiency. The vehicles offer various cargo body configurations and wheelbase options to reduce post-purchase modifications.

Eicher Trucks and Buses operates as a business unit of VECV, which is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited established in 2008. The company manufactures trucks, buses, and engines for both domestic and international markets.

The commercial vehicle manufacturer has positioned itself in India's light and medium duty truck segment, which serves the country's logistics and transportation sector. The Pro Plus Series represents the company's expansion into connected vehicle technology and driver comfort features.

The new trucks will be supported by Eicher's dealer network and 24/7 service centers across India. The company has not disclosed pricing or delivery timelines for the Pro Plus range.
