Eicher Trucks and Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles, unveiled its electric-first range of Small Commercial Vehicles (SCVs), the Eicher Pro X Range, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The launch marks Eicher’s entry into the 2-3.5T segment, aimed at improving last-mile logistics and the SCV sector overall.

Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd said, “We have utilized our expertise in Light and Medium Duty Trucks and our history of innovation to develop this range. The Eicher Pro X has been co-developed with customers to address specific needs in the Small Commercial Vehicle segment. As India progresses on its development journey, the SCV segment will play a critical role, and the Eicher Pro X will contribute to this transformation in last-mile logistics.”

Eicher Pro X Range offers the largest cargo loading space in its segment for vehicles with a 2-3.5T Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), the company said. It has been designed for optimal energy efficiency, maximizing trips per charging cycle. It features air-conditioned cabins, lie-flat seats, ergonomic designs, and safety systems such as Driver State Monitoring. It also provides good maneuverability with a best-in-class turning radius and superior visibility for urban and suburban operations. It is supported by 24/7 monitoring from Eicher’s Uptime Centre and FOTA-enabled telematics for remote updates and improved productivity.

The Eicher Pro X Range is manufactured at the company’s Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal facility. This plant spans 147.8 acres and emphasizes sustainability in its operations.

The Pro X Range is backed by a digital dealership network integrated with Eicher’s Uptime Centre to ensure high vehicle availability. The network provides an omni-channel retail experience, combining digital tools with personalized services for customer convenience. Eicher has also partnered with charging point Operators (CPOs) and Charger OEMs to support the development of India’s charging infrastructure.

SS Gill, Chief Commercial Officer of VE Commercial Vehicles, said the Eicher Pro X Range has been co-created with leading logistics players and drivers to meet the dynamic requirements of sectors like e-commerce, FMCG, parcel & courier, and cold chain logistics. “This range offers solutions tailored for specific applications, along with real-time fleet management and uptime support to enhance profitability for our customers,” he added.

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Ltd. Established in 2008, the company produces and sells Eicher-branded trucks and buses across 40 countries, distributes Volvo Trucks in India, manufactures engines for the Volvo Group, and operates Eicher’s non-automotive engines and components business. Recognized as a leader in modernizing commercial transportation, VECV continues to drive innovation in the industry.
